Tocqueville Society appoints Croce as chairman

Robert Croce was recently appointed as United Way of Martin County’s Tocqueville Society 2009-10 campaign chairman.

Croce has extensive experience with United Way campaigns during his 36-year career at Johnson & Johnson. Now retired, he lives with his wife, Karen, in Sailfish Point on Hutchinson Island in Stuart.

The 40 dedicated Tocqueville Society members are responsible for more than 25 percent of the total United Way annual campaign and have been instrumental in making certain that funding for programs has remained stable in recent years.

Croce will work closely with United Way of Martin County Major Gifts Director Nancy Perry in addressing issues to advance the common good in Martin County.

“Bob’s enthusiasm along with his experience is a valuable asset as we set strategic direction for United Way’s Tocqueville Society to increase and retain memberships,” Perry said.

“The philanthropic spirit of community along with the willingness and generosity of the Tocqueville Society members is truly inspiring.”
