Mulligan's helps raise $1,109 for United Way programs

PRESS RELEASE DATE: July 29, 2009

Mulligan's Beach House Bar & Grill has been giving local nonprofit agencies an opportunity to raise funds all summer long during Jamin' Jensen every Thursday in downtown Jensen Beach.

During the past two weeks, two United Way of Martin County programs have benefitted from Mulligan's generosity and have raised a total of $1,109.

Mulligan's donated $440 of its July 16 sales to CHARACTER COUNTS! and an additional $160 was raised by CHARACTER COUNTS! for raffling off two beach bags stuffed with surf-related prizes donated by Ohana Surf Shop in Stuart, bringing the evening's total to $600.

Mulligan's donated $481 of its July 23 sales to Martin Volunteers and restaurant patrons also donated enough toys to fill two large boxes for the Martin Volunteers White Doves Holiday Project/Toys for Tots Toy Drive, and with $28 in donations, a total of $512 was raised.

CHARACTER COUNTS! and Martin Volunteers sincerely thank Mulligan's Beach House Bar & Grill for its generosity.
