Awards
PILLARS OF CHARACTER
Each year, CHARACTER COUNTS! give the
Pillar of Character Awards to six outstanding community members.
Colleagues and employers nominate workers
who they think exemplify the Six
Pillars of Character: Trustworthiness, Respect, Caring,
Citizenship, Fairness and Responsibility.
CC! established this award because many
employees have strong values and go above and beyond their job
description on a daily basis and never receive recognition.
YOUTH CHARACTER AWARDS
The annual Joe Kordick Youth Character
Awards honor middle and high school students whose lives and
achievements demonstrate an enduring commitment to qualities
associated with good character.
CHAMPION AWARDS
Each year, the United Way of Martin County
hosts a Champions of the Community event to wrap up the campaign
season. The event is designed to honor volunteers and donors who
have made an impact on improving lives in Martin County.
Each United Way department bestows honors upon its key
volunteers and/or donors:
