Bequests

A bequest is the easiest way to ensure your charitable intentions will continue after you are gone. Please consider adding one of the following statements in your last will and testament:

Specific Bequest for Dollar Amount
or Percentage of Estate:

"I give, devise and bequeath to United Way of Martin County Foundation, 50 Kindred Street, Suite 207, Stuart, Florida, a non-profit corporation (the "Foundation"), the sum of $__________ (or ________% of my estate) for its corporate uses and purposes."

Rest, Residue and Remainder of Estate:

"All the rest, residue and remainder of my estate, both real and personal, wherever situated, I give, devise and bequeath to the United Way of Martin County Foundation, 50 Kindred Street, Suite 207, Stuart, Florida, a non-profit corporation (the "Foundation") for its corporate uses and purposes."

Contingent Bequest :

"I give, devise and bequeath to (Name of Person) the sum of $________ (or __________% of my estate) in the event he (or she) shall survive me. Should (Name of Person) predecease me, I give, devise and bequeath said sum to United Way of Martin County Foundation, 50 Kindred Street, Suite 207, Stuart, Florida, a non-profit corporation (the "Foundation") for its corporate uses and purposes.
