Why I
Believe in Leaving A Legacy . . .
“When I think of leaving a legacy, I always go back to my father. He taught me that we come into this world with nothing and we take nothing with us when we leave. "What matters," he said, "is what we do in between. It is not what we take up, but what we give out that makes us rich." His teachings continue to inspire me to work within my community to do what I can to help, and to pass on these same values to my son and my grandson.
I grew up in Kenya as part of a large family and I have traveled much of the world. I have seen so much good come out of even the smallest acts of kindness. I know that well thought out projects and targeted donations can change everything for the better. Legacy gifts represent one way to insure that the work continues. I look forward to working with the Foundation for the betterment of Martin County.”
