Martin Volunteers
Indiantown Boys & Girls Club project
Martin Volunteers, a project of United Way
of Martin County, helped the Boys & Girls Clubs of Martin County
recruit and organize volunteers for a playground and clean-up
project.
Azteka Roofing of Palm City worked all week
July 2-7, 2007, to construct a state-of-the-art playground.
Volunteers, staff and club members gathered on July 7 to clean
up the grounds and the interior of the facility, at 14555 SW
174th Court in Indiantown.
Sam Velazquez, the Indiantown site
coordinator for the Boys & Girls Clubs, said the new facility
will enable the Club to serve more children -- about 100 youths.
The Club will be able to stay open later and enable Mr.
Velazquez to offer more programs for teens.
