Campaign Kickoff:
Luncheon and LIVE UNITED
Join United Way of Martin County for a
luncheon noon-2 p.m. Oct. 3 at Willoughby Golf Club. The guest
speaker will be FAU president Frank Brogan, a former Martin
County educator and past United Way campaign chairman.

For the third year, United Way of
Martin County is offering exciting incentives for people to
"Step Up" and help their community.
This year, the prizes are a 50cc
Scooter from
All the Wheel Toys and $2,000 in FREE GAS.
All individuals 18 and older are
eligible to participate. Existing donors
should maintain last year’s donation to United
Way or increasing it to $52 annually ($1 per week).
New donors can give at a suggested minimum of “a
buck a week” ($52 annually). Read

Volunteers' tax prep help
adds up
AARP and United Way tax preparation
volunteers helped nearly 2,700 taxpayers receive about $1.4
million in refunds this year, and their work isn’t done yet.

in Action: A CHARACTER COUNTS! Ethics in the
Workplace Business Seminar
Paul Vitale,
who previously presented “Building
Bridges... Building Youth” and “The
Hero Within” to Treasure Coast
audiences, once again returns to
Martin County thanks to CHARACTER
COUNTS! -- a program of United Way
of Martin County.
The seminar is Nov. 19 at the
Wolf High-Technology Center on the IRSC campus
on Salerno Road in Stuart.
