United Way of Martin County’s
CHARACTER COUNTS! program, in partnership with the Business Development Board of
Martin County, recently honored Seacoast National Bank with its Second Annual
Business of Character award.
Through this award, CHARACTER COUNTS! raises awareness on the importance of
core ethical business practices by recognizing local businesses that encourage
and reward mutual respect, responsibility and trustworthiness; and discourage
dishonesty, irresponsibility and disrespect.
Denny Hudson, Seacoast National Bank chairman of the board and CEO, was
on hand to accept the award during the Business
Development Board of Martin County’s annual business appreciation luncheon at
Mariner Sands Country Club in Stuart.
Seacoast National Bank received the award for its long-standing
commitment to and investment in Martin County through its strong support of
Martin County’s small business community and nonprofit organizations; extensive
community involvement; and ethical business practices and interaction with
staff and clients.
The Law Firm of Crary Buchanan and Lesser, Lesser, Landy & Smith, PLLC, were
among the finalists for the Business of Character Award. Other nominees
included: Better Business Bureau of Southeast Florida and the Caribbean,
Decorating Den Interiors, Harbor Community Bank, Manatee Pocket Yacht Sales,
Southeastern Printing, Tami Karol Insurance and Treasure Coast Urgent &
Family Care.
